The fathers of country music had a profound impact on the world, touching the hearts of millions with simple, wholesome (sometimes gritty), melody-based music.  Rich voices sang songs rich in sentiment. Take a nostalgic trip down those country roads to the golden age, when the pioneers of country – cowboy singers such as Jimmy Rodgers and Gene Autry – were enjoying new found fame and the sound of country music was exploding onto the airwaves and movie screens.
